Architecture Department
Vision:
The program aims to mould aspiring designers or engineers to become Entrepreneurs in building construction industry and also to assist Architects by giving exposure to various materials, technologies, softwares and services. It also aims to promote the students to pursue higher studies.
Mission:
- Support the students to achieve leadership qualities and excellence in academics by providing better learning environment and quality teaching
- Enhance students skill in sketching, drafting and designing of built environment.
- Empower girls to support themselves and their family by building up a career on their on.
Department of Architecture
Diploma in Architecture course has been started in Women’s Polytechnic College, Ernakulam in 1984. Since then hundreds of students have successfully completed their diploma and are earning a good living. The academic results are also very good in the past years.
The course diploma in Architecture is a balanced mixture of civil and Architecture subjects. Students are given training in drafting, designing, construction and presentation of low rise to high rise buildings. Interior design and landscape architecture are also a part of their curriculum. When it comes to placement the successful students of this course are in great demand.
The academic results were high during the last year also. The pass percentage is 90%. Our students were active participants in co-curricular activities too. Many of them are winners of arts and sports competitions at state level.
